Basic Six – Religious & Moral Education (First Term)
Welcome, learners!
This term, we will be exploring different aspects of Religious and Moral Education. Our lessons will help us understand more about God, the practices of religion, the lives of religious leaders, and how we can live responsibly within our families and communities.
Here’s what we will be learning step by step:
Week 1–2: God, His Creation and Attributes
We will explore the nature of God as the Creator.

We will describe God through His attributes and reflect on what they teach us about His power, love, and wisdom.
Week 3–4: Religious Practices and Their Moral Implications
We will study religious worship in the three major religions in Ghana.

We will discuss the importance of prayer in our lives.

We will also learn how worship and other acts of devotion help shape good moral character.
Week 5–8: Religious Leaders
We will look at the ministry and latter lives of leaders of the three major religions in Ghana.

We will narrate the stories of their latter lives.

We will identify and discuss the moral lessons we can learn from their examples.
Week 9–12: The Family and Community
We will focus on commitment to God and the community.

We will demonstrate ways we can commit ourselves to our community.

We will explain why it is important to be committed members of the community and how this strengthens unity and moral living.
Week 13: Revision
We will go over all the lessons we have studied to prepare ourselves for the end-of-term examinations.
